Songs Like Redred by Cortis
Eleven songs for people who cannot stop playing Redred.
We already did this once, song by song, in the music recommendations for Cortis fans post. This time I am going deeper on one track, and adding songs I had not put anywhere before.
So. If you like Redred, here is what you should be playing next. But I want to be honest about what I am actually claiming with each one, because “this sounds like that” and “this shares a specific element with that” are two very different statements and most rec lists blur them on purpose.
The Closest Match Is fakemink
If you like Redred you are probably going to like Easter Pink by fakemink. It is pretty much the same type of instrumental. You can really see the resemblance in the production. But the melody is completely different, and that difference is the whole point of this post.

Nothing else on this list gets as close as Easter Pink does. Everything after it is a partial match. Sometimes it is a melody resemblance rather than an instrumental one. Sometimes it is the vibe, the whole composition of the song landing in the same place. Sometimes it is one section, one element, one sound.
And That Is A Compliment To Cortis
Here is what I kept running into while making this list, and it is the strongest thing I can say about the song. I cannot find a single song with a melody similar to Redred. Not one. The melody does not sound taken from anywhere. It sounds genuinely original.
That is really, really hard to do and it deserves to be said out loud. Instrumentals get reused, recycled and rebuilt constantly, that is just how music works. But writing a topline nobody else has written is a different kind of accomplishment. Cortis did a great job here.

From 1983, on Factory Records, and still the blueprint. Half the instrumentals on this list are descendants of this one whether they know it or not.

Not the same song. The same feeling, or one element that will make you sit up.

Out in June 2026 and already her most played track. Two minutes and five seconds, no fat on it, same appetite for going loud early.
One Thing I Love

2008, off their debut, built on a sample of Van She’s Sex City. The oldest sounding new song on here and the one that will stay in your head longest.

I am taking a few weeks to do this same thing for What You Want, Lullaby and Joyride. Here is where I am with each of them so far.
Joyride
Honestly, I think this one took inspiration from LA and from Dominic Fike. Keonho is a really big Dominic Fike fan, so if you go through his catalog you are going to find a bunch of songs that sound like Joyride. You do not have to wait for me on this one, go dig.
Lullaby
I have a few songs in mind already. A few Post Malone tracks, and a few other rappers. But Lullaby is another case where the song is actually pretty original. You might have heard that type of instrumental before, but the way the melody is written on top of it is really unique. They did a really good job with that one too.
What You Want
This one has more of a rock vibe and I owe it to you guys. My rock knowledge is genuinely limited, I only listen to the classics and the bands everybody knows, so I need to go listen to a lot more before I can give you anything worth reading. Give me a couple of weeks and I will come back with a real list.
The short version
Easter Pink is the closest thing to Redred that exists.
And nothing out there has that melody, which is exactly why the song hits the way it does.
