CORTIS • New music
CORTIS are in LA working on a new album, and it is confirmed
They went quiet, COERs noticed, and then everything landed at once: Weverse posts from the members, a Diplo livestream that gave away more than he probably meant to, and a dance challenge filmed in the one city the song is about.

First, why COERs started asking
The group went quiet. No schedule, no explanation, just a gap. For a group that posts as much as CORTIS do, a gap reads as a question, and the question going around was simply: where are they?
The answer is Los Angeles, and they are there to make a record.
They confirmed it themselves, on Weverse
This is not a rumour chain. It came from the members, in their own posts, on 2 October 2026.
Keonho, on the night RedRed won again
Keonho posted after RedRed took another Music Bank win. The post is a thank you, and then he slips the real news in at the end:
코어들 레드레드가 뮤직뱅크로 1위를 또 했다고 들었습니다!!
아직까지도 레드레드 진짜 많이 좋아해주셔서 너무 고마워요
코어 우리 이제 12관왕🏆!!!
저희 지금 노래 열심히 만들고 있으니 기대 많이 해주십쇼!
곧 또 만나여
In English: COERs, I heard RedRed took number one on Music Bank again. Thank you for still loving RedRed this much. COERs, we are twelve-time winners now. We are working hard on songs right now, so look forward to it. See you again soon.

Juhoon, and the two replies under it
Later the same night Juhoon posted what Weverse translated as “Core members, another surprise gift..” (Weverse renders 코어 as “core members”; he is saying COERs). Then he answered his own comments twice, three minutes apart.

That is the one. Not “someday”, not “we hope to”. Writing lyrics right now.
And three more lines went round from the members on the same theme:
- “We’re working hard on new music right now, so please look forward to it”
- “I’ll keep bringing you great music in the future”
- “That’s why we’re working hard right now to bring you even better music and performances”
Then Diplo went live and said the rest out loud
The part nobody had to decode: Diplo talked about working with CORTIS at a song camp in LA on a livestream. He is not teasing a hypothetical. He is describing being in the room with them.
The line COERs latched onto is about how they work: that the members can freestyle for ten minutes without stopping. From a producer who has worked with more or less everyone, that is not a polite compliment.
Four things that clip gives away
This is the bit that made COERs laugh. In the space of a few sentences Diplo confirms, or all but confirms, four separate things:
- CORTIS are in Los Angeles. Said plainly, before anyone else had said it.
- He is working with them, at a song camp, which is where album material gets made.
- It is high energy. That is a tempo and a mood, and it narrows what the comeback sounds like.
- There are rap elements. Which, given who is in this group, is not a surprise, but it is now on the record.
He almost certainly did not sit down planning to say any of that.
Who else is around the camp
Diplo is the one who has said it himself. Two other names have come up around the sessions, and both are worth knowing even if you have never seen them on a tracklist.
| Name | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Diplo | Confirmed on his own livestream. Grammy winner, Major Lazer, Silk City, and a career of pulling pop into club records. |
| Jaasu | One of Don Toliver’s producers, with credits alongside Travis Scott. Charted as one of Billboard’s top rap and R&B producers. |
| Ryan Tedder | OneRepublic’s frontman and one of the most decorated pop writers alive: Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Camila Cabello, Paul McCartney, Lil Nas X. He also wrote and produced Body to Body on BTS’s Arirang, and in February 2026 HYBE announced a US boy group project with him, based in Los Angeles. |
Where the line is. Diplo is confirmed, by Diplo. Jaasu and Ryan Tedder are names circulating among COERs around these sessions, not official credits. Nothing is final until a tracklist is.
They did the “Ain’t in LA” challenge. While in LA.
The official account posted them doing the dance challenge to Ain’t in LA by Adéla, which is funny on its own terms, because they very much are in LA.
For anyone who does not know the song: Adéla is a Slovak singer, Ain’t in LA came out on 23 July 2026 through Capitol Records as the third single from her debut album Prima, and it turned into one of the year’s biggest TikTok dances. It peaked at number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the week ending 24 September 2026.
Keonho is in Paris, and he is going back
One member is not in the studio this week. Keonho is in France for the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week, and he will be back in Los Angeles with the rest of them afterwards.
He has had a month. Before Paris he was in LA too, where he finally got to see Dominic Fike after months of asking the company, with Martin as his legal guardian for the night. That is a whole story on its own:

So what do we actually know?
Are CORTIS working on a new album?
Yes. The members confirmed it themselves on Weverse on 2 October 2026. Keonho wrote that they are working hard on songs, and Juhoon said they are writing lyrics right now.
Where are CORTIS right now?
Los Angeles, at a song camp. Diplo confirmed it on a livestream while describing working with them.
Is Diplo producing for CORTIS?
He has said he is working with them at a song camp in LA. Whether that becomes a production credit on the album is not official yet.
What will the new CORTIS music sound like?
From what Diplo described: high energy, with rap elements. Nothing more specific has been released.
Which producers are working with CORTIS?
Diplo is confirmed by his own words. Jaasu, a Don Toliver producer, and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic are the other names COERs have connected to the sessions. Neither is an official credit yet.
Why did CORTIS go quiet?
They were in Los Angeles making the record. The silence was the work.
When is the CORTIS comeback?
No date has been announced. As of early October 2026 they were still writing lyrics.
While you wait: everything Martin consumes, the 40 songs Seonghyeon played on his live, and what CORTIS actually stands for.
